Hawaii can be an island of contrasts, from the people to the ‘aina (land), there is a clear diversity. This is one of the main reasons we love it.
One of those contrasts is seen here where a soft, scented, and temporary plumeria sits atop hard, dark, and long-stayed lava rock.
